Die Gr\u00fcnde daf\u00fcr sind historisch, technisch und manchmal auch einfach aus Nationalstolz.<\/p>\n<h2>Die gro\u00dfen Drei: BS 1363, Schuko und NEMA<\/h2>\n<h3>BS 1363 - Typ G (Gro\u00dfbritannien, Naher Osten, Teile Asiens)<\/h3>\n<p>Der britische Stecker hat drei rechteckige Stifte und eine Sicherung im Inneren. Ja, jeder Stecker hat seine eigene Sicherung - in der Regel 3 A f\u00fcr Lampen, 13 A f\u00fcr schwere Ger\u00e4te. Dies wurde 1947 als Sicherheitsma\u00dfnahme eingef\u00fchrt und macht den Typ G zur wohl sichersten Steckernorm der Welt. NEMA 1-15 (Typ A) ist die zweipolige, nicht geerdete Ausf\u00fchrung. NEMA 5-15 (Typ B) hat zus\u00e4tzlich einen runden Erdungsstift.
